Hello, I am Roma Saha, stay in Kolkata ,sometimes I come to visit my two sons in USA, at present I am in Sunnyvale, California, will be back to Kolkata to my own house in May . I like to cook new things,experiment with various type of cooking This recipe  is one of my favorite, so thought of sharing with you all . Hope you all will enjoy.

Ingredients:
eggplant(small)–8 pieces, cut into half(16 pieces)
yogurt–3-4 tablespoon
cumin Powder(jeera)-1 teaspoon
cornflower-1/2 teaspoon
salt, sugar-as desired
turmeric–1 teaspoon
greenchilli–4
raisin-few
oil–as desired
 
Serves:4
 
Slit the eggplants and brush it with salt and turmeric and fry the eggplant in a wok. (In case you don’t get the small eggplants you can take the big eggplants[seedless] and cut into fry pieces.)
Put the eggplants out from the wok, and keep it seperately
Stir the yogurt (3 tablspoon)very smooth, with cumin powder and 1/2 teaspoon of cornflower.
Pour 1 teaspoon of oil and splutter with mustard seed and methi seed
Then give the stir yogurt in the oil .

Mix the eggplants in the yogurt and let it dry.
Put salt if needed and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, little bit of raisin, and few green chillies
When the gravy gets thickened, take out from the flame
Serve hot with white rice
 
ENJOY this preparation.

    i like the idea of adding corn flour to dahi.that will help to thicken the gravy by reducing the water which usually comes out from dahi marinate.i will definitely try it.

    thank you joyshree, yes, for that reason I mix cornflower to yogurt.. you can try this..
