First Words

The baby said his first word ! And no, its not Mommy – though she has been saying that word to him a million times a day, inserting it into every conceivable conversation gap . (This is Mommy. Now Mommy is changing your diaper. Mommy is getting a new diaper and Mommy is lifting your leg – basically a total abandonment of pronouns.) And its not Daddy or Dada but ‘Car’.

Car.

Amazingly, that was his brothers first word too.

How both of them latched on to this word out of the whirlwind of words thrown at them in two languages is beyond me. Do I talk of cars very often? I think I talk more of whales and dolphins. Do I read car books? Again, not many. The books have more of Mommy, Daddy and Baby in it.

But looking outside the nursery window on our sleepy subdivision street and seeing these objects whiz past must be amazing. As is getting into this contraption, and waking up in a new and exciting place.

Hmm.. What were your kids first words?

yes, I heard that, some babies here they utter the first word CAR,, now you may be really excited, when my little one was born, my elder son was 7, so the baby used to watch all sorts of activities of his DADA, and surprisingly his first word was DADA!
