Oatmeal,dates and walnut cookies

I got this recipe from my grandma…It tastes awesome and easy too..My son and my baby girl joins in to make these YUMMY cookies…She messes up the whole floor but  I think its worth to see her smile when she is done..My son is getting prof in making them…He gets all the stuff from the fridge and pantry.BIG helper… 

Here is the recipe…

 2 cups (10oz/315g)all -purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (6oz/185 g) unsalted butter
1 cup (8oz/250g) granulated sugar
1 cup (7 oz/220g) firmly packed dark brown sugar
2 whole eggs
1 egg yolk
3 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract(essense)
2 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats or quick cooking oats
1/2 lbs dates,chopped (about 11/2 cups)
2 cups (8oz/250g) walnuts chopped
Now comes the mixing time
1. Preheat oven to 375 F
2.In a bowl mix flour,cinnamon,baking soda and salt.
3. Place butter in a large bowl.Using an electric mixer set on a high speed,beat until light and fluffy
4.Beat in granulated sugar and brown sugar
5.Add whole eggs,yolk,milk and vanilla and beat untill fluffy abt 2 min
6. Reduce the speed to low and add the flour mixture
7.Add in oats ,dates and walnuts.
8.Pour the batter in baking sheets by rounded tablepoons
9. Bake about 12 min for chewy ones and 15 min for crisp ones..

    I loved that post. I can just imagine your baby messy with cookie dough and loving it. I will try this one.
