Two Special recipes for the Valentines

Today I am going to share two recipes with all of you which is my mom’s favorite, and she makes these foods in any special occasions for my dad. He loves to eat my mom’s preparation!

I am sure if you try this for your valentines, they will surely be amazed!

Chingri Cutlet

This is a delicacy in eastern side of India, where we stay,, that is Kolkata!


8 Jumbo prawns
2 tbsp Vinegar
2 Eggs
4 tbsp Onion & Ginger juice
1 cup Bread crumbs
Oil, for deep frying

Salt to taste


  1. Clean and devein prawns, and remove shell, except the tail.
  2. Beat eggs and keep aside.
  3. Marinate prawns in onion & ginger juice, vinegar and salt for 4 hrs.
  4. Remove prawns from marinade, flatten with wooden spatula, dip in egg wash, coat with bread crumbs and deep fry.
  5. Serve hot with green coriander chutney.             

Boti Kabob

This is another great starter which you can make anytime to please your sweetheart


500 gms Meat (mutton)

2 tsp Ginger
6 Cloves Garlic
Red Chili Powder (as per the taste)
½ tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Coriander Seeds
1 Large Onion
½ tsp Cumin Seeds
3  Cardamom
1 inch piece Cinnamon
6  Cloves
Salt (as per the taste)
1 cup yogurt
2 tbsp Butter


  1. Cut the meat into small cubes.
  2. Grind all the ingredients from ginger to yogurt and marinate the meat in the mixture for about an hour.
  3. Stick the meat onto skewers and grill on charcoal fired grill basting with butter and turning till done.
  4. Serve hot garnished with sliced onions. 

Surprise your valentine with these dishes when he comes to the dinner table!!

    yes, it is really easy,, but the thing is you have to get rid off all the health issues! always think that these are not heart healthy,, but sometimes we need to change our tongue taste..
